Hello, Tyler! In fact, all the brands you mentioned (I would add Sperzel) produce excellent machine tuners. As far as what is best, depends on the characteristics that are important to you. The Fender Stratocaster Schaller and models are essentially equivalent, because I like the larger block at the rear wing, so it is easier to tighten and loosen. Also, the Fender has a 18:1 gear ratio, which is great for fine tuning adjustments. Sperzel tuners are nice, but the caster is very narrow and not very friendly finger. The models also have a Kluson wheel, but is on the side of the blade with chains, though very positive in operation, it looks a little dated. The Gotoh not have a wheel but each one has a built-in mechanism that locks the string as you tighten, which is a really nice feature. Beyond the specifications, an important account is the mounting arrangement. Some of the machine tuners require additional holes, however, a limited number of some match patterns existing. This is where Fender tuners may have an edge, depending on your specific model without head modifications may be necessary. I recently replaced tuners standard on both a 1993 and 2008 MIA Fender Stratocaster and Schaller models, respectively, both fit perfectly, without increasing or adding any hole that is.
